It’s about that time of the year again. National Novel Writing Month (nanowrimo.org) kicks of 01 November 2022.
Last year I stopped five days in with ManEater 2, restarted with a new Hannigram concept, and gave up when I got behind on Day 11? I think it was. Needless to say, it was an utter failure.
In 2020, I wrote ManEater, a Hannigram lovestory.
Other years have been successful with a series of short stories including Inside her Mind and The Meddling of the Volturi (2017). 2009 saw the completion of my first NaNoWriMo and in many ways my most popular: Of Princes and Fireflies. Then there was 2018 with the Man In the High Castle fic Hold Me Quiet (as yet to be posted).
This year, I’ve decided to write a novel length version of Cave Kisses. It saw such success as a 1k word ficlet as part of my prompt series, that I thought — hey, why not? This month I’m going to be rewatching Iron Man, catching up on my Twilight Saga, and let’s see if we can turn this sweet story into a full fledged fanfiction novel. Tony and Bella deserve their lovestory. They deserve vampires shooting out terrorists in the desert, Charlie Swan threatening Tony with a shotgun, and a more drawn out courtship after a forced marriage. Renee is definitely going to have some jealousy go down, and how do we think Pepper and Obadiah are going to react to this wildcard at Stark Industries?
