Well, we’ve come full circle. It is now a year later, and it is NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month) 2021.
Last year I wrote ManEater, a chaptered Hannigram, and this year I am writing a sequel, ManEater 2.
It was a really close call this year as I had no idea what to do… I was thinking should I go for some strange Madancy that even I can’t work out, fall back on my 2019 project that never got off the ground (involved fem!Harry, but I feel I’m over my Harry Potter days), try to put Bella Swan in another situation (but what situation?–it just wasn’t coming to me)??? In the end I watched Casino Royale (love that film) and reread ManEater for inspiration and realized how many unanswered questions there are… for the reader and for myself.
And I decided, this November, I’m going to do my best to answer those questions.
Previous NaNo’s include Of Princes and Fireflies (2009), the unfinished (and unpublished) Of Lordlings and Lullabies (2013), Vignettes (2017) including Inside her Mind & The Meddling of the Volturi, and Hide Me Quiet (2018).
