I honestly didn’t think I was going to make it to 50k and/or finish “ManEater.” I had a week where I didn’t write at all (covid scare) and then another four days near the end when my brain couldn’t quite fit the threads of the fic together in a way that wasn’t ridiculous or left open.
However, I made it through the rain. I concluded the arc (roughly), though about 20k in I realized this was going to have to be a trilogy of fanfics … or be monstrously long at about 200k.
So – I’m setting it aside for December, and then coming back and rewriting the prelude entirely (don’t want to give too much away at the beginning), and just fine-tuning. Hopefully, I’ll have it ready to post for St Valentine’s Day … for all those in need of some Cannibal love!
