Word Count: 53.5k
Rating: R (MA)

Warning(s): magic, enchantment, time period adjustments, class differences, noncon, dubcon, elopements, dream visions, Bellatrix Lestrange, George Wickham

Prompt(s): from BlackBreezy: Eloise Bridgerton/Harry Potter – Regency era with witch!Eloise. “For all the differences between the Magical and Muggle worlds, there were some aspects of Society that were unfortunately alike”, from Haru: Anthony Bridgerton/Bella Swan with love at first sight, from Insomniareid: Penelope/Darcy, from Faccaciobread: Fairytale fic. I know you did the enchantment series, but it may be cool to see multiple fairy tales tied together or for characters to be dealing with warped fairy tale scenarios. Preferably HP, but can be P&P,
Twilight, Bridgerton, etc.

Summary: Penelope (as Lady Whistledown) helps Darcy find Wickham and Lydia.  Bella Swan came through a door and is Darcy’s ward.  Daphne Bridgerton is under an enchantment and Harry Potter has been in love with Eloise since Hogwarts.  All are under the same enchantment, and yet none of them have realized it yet.

A Note on Language

“Breakable Heaven” takes place in 1814 (the second season of Bridgerton). Pride & Prejudice originally takes places in 1811-1812 (so not far off), while Twilight takes place in 2004/2005, and Harry Potter (year 7) in 1997-1998.

I had the characters of Darcy and Anthony Bridgerton speak without contractions (such as I’m, it’s, can’t, won’t). Penelope Featherington speaks in a lowerclass accent so she’s using contractions all the time.

Bella Swan, as a girl from 2004/2005, uses contractions all the time. She say “I’m going to” or “I’d love to”. She also speaks American English.

With Harry Potter I had a difficult dilemma. Should he be of the world of 1814? or should he be of the world of magic? I decided to make him a Hogwarts resident, and therefore advanced in his language. He uses pureblood language such as “going with” (to mean the American “going out with”) and he also uses contractions like “I can’t do that” (instead of “I cannot do that”) and “I’d like to go” (instead of “I would like to go to”). Harry then has to switch his language when he enters the Muggle world, but he finds it difficult.
